Recording works offline — Distill captures the audio locally and queues the file for upload. When you’re back on Wi-Fi or cellular, transcription happens server-side. Fully-offline on-device transcription is on the Pro roadmap for 2026.
Yes. Recordings are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We never use your audio to train public models, we don’t share it with third parties, and you can delete any recording permanently from the dashboard. Full policy at /privacy.
